 This picture was taken by my hubby when he was in Florida a couple springs ago. 

Back then, we were "just friends." He got up early to see the sunrise on his last morning there and sent this picture to my phone. I have loved this picture ever since. 

It seems like such a peaceful place to be, doesn't it?

Blueberry muffins in oh-so-cute baking cups. 

Mmmmm...

Not much going on here today. Helped Mimsie unload literally thousands of pounds of food at the food pantry she heads for our church. Tuckered us out, but for a worthy cause so its a good tired. Heading back to school tomorrow. First day for teachers. 

Kiddos come back next Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Inspiration Board

 Last Sunday afternoon was gloomy and rainy, so I decided to undertake a project that would bring some cheer to this otherwise drab cork board.

I started by trimming a fat quarter up the sides with pinking shears. It was a bit short on one side, so I filled in the gap with lace from an old curtain tieback. Without a staple gun, I opted to secure the fabric with clear pushpins spaced roughly every two fingertip widths apart. The clear heads catch the light like little crystals framing the board, so I am rather glad now not to have had the stapler. 

As always, I have a million tiny projects in the works. Looking forward to sharing more soon. In the meantime...

Baby Blankie Reveal

I adore how this soft, chunky baby yarn made the squares fluff up like a puff quilt! The lighting here isn't the best today, so I apologize for the greyish tone cast on the pictures. The colors are actually very soft & warm . Oh, well. Such it is sometimes. I have many other WIP's I cannot wait to share soon. Till then....

Monday Lovin's

The vintage sweater clip my mother 

gave me for Christmas.

My first-ever, perfectly-matched, Vera Bradley stationary set. My father actually picked that out 

for me! Not bad, huh? 

(And yes, that is my hands and camera reflected in the paperweight). 

My current mantra on a nice, large mug o' coffee. 

What more can you ask for?
