Froggy-Bib Goodness

Hello, Everyone! Bet you didn't expect a crochet post from me, huh?
It has been woefully long since one appeared on my blog. Sad to say.
But never fear. Lack of posts does not equal lack of crochet. Rather, an over-abundance of crochet has been holding back posts, for I have so many WIPs its getting to be ridiculous. I went through an old stash box last week and realized there were even more neglected projects! Oh my! What an irresponsible crocheter I have been! My goal for this coming week is to start no new projects. Only complete these long neglected, but wonderfully patient ones first. (Yes, I am aware that I just personified my yarn projects.... but seriously. Each one does seem to take on a life of its own. Don't you agree?)

Anyway, another reason for lack of posting is I have a very special someone I cannot wait to introduce to you all very shortly. We have a new addition to our little family and I will share her sweet pictures soon. I promise!

I thought this frog bib for my cousin's baby turned out well overall. Was a little sad his mouth ended up a bit wonky, but hey. We all have our quirks. Gives it some personality.

Till, then... Happy crocheting!

Sunday Scripture

Zephaniah 3:17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

17The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.

Snatches of Color

My storehouses are full of peculiar treasures waiting to be spun into something more. Their possibilities dance and glimmer in the sunshine.... dazzling my beholding eyes with visions of what they will someday become. Rather reminds me of how God watches over his children - His own "peculiar treasures." What may appear as unwanted leftovers to human eyes, can become restored into something more wholly beautiful than it originally was. God always sees the potential.

Just some food for thought on this busy Thursday evening.
Looking forward to the long weekend.

Happy day to you, dear reader!

What I love about...

... my bathroom!
This is one room where I let my Shabby Chic inklings take control. John is a sweet and highly tolerant hubby, but too much froo-froo and he puts his foot down. Thus, I have kept the main floor bolder color schemes. However... the upstairs is pretty much my own domain. The Rachel Ashwell shower curtain from Target really set the whole tone for the room. Then, the accessories just fell happily into place from there. The second best thing I did for this space was hang a white lace panel in place of the old, heavy brown one. Instant light cascaded into the room. Privacy isn't an issue since there was all ready mottled glass in place for the second story room. Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my home. As the nesting process continues, I hope to share more rooms in future.

Till then, happy nesting!
