I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're going to piece those lovely handkerchiefs together and make a flower-girl dress, and then crochet lace onto it. And then I died and went to heaven because it was so gorgeous. :)
Hmmm... I don't know? But I love those boutonnieres!
Good guess, Mrs. Lemon, but this is not actually for the wedding. I do have a hankie project for the wedding I am about to dash out to the store to buy some extra notions for, though, so you were close! haha
I could see these being pieced together with some lovely lacy crochet and then placed in a window as a small curtain. I can imagine the sun would make the hankies partly transparent so that you could still see their lovely motifs.Am I close?I'm jealous that you have so many lovely hankies!cheers suki
Wow! I am getting so many wonderful ideas that I think my end result will be rather disappointing. ;-) I am planning to sew them onto crochet squares to make a patchwork afghan. Not sure how it will look and am putting this aside for now as I found a bunch more projects to do for the wedding. I am blessed to have an amazing antique mall nearby with two sellers who never fail to disappoint me with a wonderful array of affordable hankies. Also, some of them are vintage style hankies I picked up at our local five and dime. Blessings to you, Suki!
It was lovely to hear from you today, Friend. Come back and visit again soon. blessings
