Wanna see something cute, adorable, and oh so sweet?
Check out Lucy in this fun little Animoto video I made:
Miss Lucy is So Pretty

I have had so much fun playing around with this app this week! My kinders love it! I try to catch them each doing something every week or two and then premiere a new video on Fridays during snack time. So many uses for this app!

Vintage Sheets & Apple Baskets

A couple Saturdays ago, I got brave and took my pink pinking shears to a vintage flat sheet...

... in order to line two apple baskets! It was absolutely cut and go not measuring just eyeballing the whole way. I made sure there was enough drape over the sides that when I piled yarn and fabric into them, the lining stayed without having to be sewn. As soon as it draped in a pleasing manner, out came the shears and I pinked my way around not stopping until I was back where I started. Not the neatest job in the world, but it worked for me. Quick and easy and cute!

What do you like to do with your vintage sheets?

Time to Get Crafty!

As spring approaches, I find myself scavenging around my craft room nosing through the plethora of fabrics, trimmings, and notions as the sweet, sweet song of inspiration beckons me to new and crafty endeavors. Crazy, considering I all ready have a list a mile long of projects to make and gift this year.

Sometimes, crafting just needs to be impromptu. Not listed out neat and tidy. I believe that occasionally shocking the system with a new venture can help regain the discipline needed to get half-finished projects d-o-n-e.

There is just something so thrilling about peeking into
a pretty, but long unopened box.

Oh, the joy of rediscovered bits and baubles!

So while my tidy, prettily packaged, ready-to-go craft bags and carefully composed lists are helpful...

... they need not box me in! ;-)

What discoveries have left you feeling freer and happier this week?
