Before & After

I love my collection of vintage aprons, but for many years had them sadly tucked away in drawers.
Out of sight and often out of mind.

The other day, a very plain expanse of white wood
on the side of the pantry begged to be spruced up.

Out came the hooks (purchased at Michael's craft store several months ago), hammer, and nails!

I am not going to deny....
.... I am pleased as punch with the results
of my labors.
What personal projects have made your hearts happy lately?

  1. It looks fabulous! Lovely aprons, and the hooks are beautiful too. Great buy. I am working on some ideas for sprucing up my living room at the moment, it's exciting because I've lived in this house five years and I'm finally trying to turn it into my own space! :)

  4. You have a lovely collection of aprons. I absolutely love anything with cherries. I have been thinking the same thing about my collection (thrift shop finds, etc.), saddened that they are in the cupboard. Kim over at the Musings of Kim K posted about she has a little apron bunting, kind of cute!

  6. I love this! The aprons look great hanging from those hooks. :)

I am happy with a bow tie quilt I'm just starting now. Making it smallish so it can hang on the wall. :) Wanting to make a Halloween quilt too!

  10. What a lovely way to brighten up a space, the aprons look so cheerful. I think I will borrow the idea and spritz them with lavender water daily for a breath of summer as I waft into the kitchen.

  11. The lavender water is a really nice touch, Susan. Will have to try that myself ;-)
